Hi, I’m Joanne, and I Call Myself a Recovering Career Woman

If you’re here, chances are you’re tired of pushing.

Tired of trying to become a better version of yourself.
Tired of carrying expectations that no longer fit.
Tired of feeling like rest, clarity, or peace always seem just out of reach.

I know that place well.

I’m Joanne — a coach, speaker, and writer who learned the hard way that burnout doesn’t happen because we’re weak. It happens because we stay disconnected from ourselves for too long.

For years, I lived in “shoulds.”
I pushed through exhaustion.
I ignored the quiet signals.
I believed that slowing down meant falling behind.

Until my body — and my life — asked me to stop.

This space was born from that pause.

Not from having everything figured out, but from learning to listen again. To trust what my body, heart, and intuition had been trying to say all along. To understand that healing isn’t about fixing yourself — it’s about remembering who you are beneath the noise.

Here, I write about:

  • Coming back to yourself after burnout or emotional exhaustion

  • Learning to trust your inner voice again

  • Letting go of pressure, performance, and self-abandonment

  • Choosing gentler, truer ways of living

  • The quiet courage it takes to live honestly

Nothing here is rushed.
Nothing is performative.
And nothing asks you to become someone else.

This is a space for reflection, honesty, and small moments of recognition — the kind that make you pause and think, yes… that’s true.

If you’re reading this, you don’t need fixing.
You don’t need more effort.
You don’t need to prove anything.

You just need space to listen.

Your heart already knows the way.
